Q. Why should I use Check Studio?
|
A. There are many reasons to use Check Studio. First, it will save you money because printing your own checks costs less than buying pre-printed checks. Second, it gives you complete control over the design of your checks. Lastly, if your bank makes a mistake on your checks, you have to wait for them to replace them. Check Studio eliminates this problem. There are many other reasons to use Check Studio. For a complete feature list, click on Features on the left menu.

Q. Do I need special toner?
|
A. Probably not. Most banks don't require MICR toner for personal checks. Many banks have optical check readers now which eliminate the need to use MICR toner. However, this does depend on your bank. So we cannot guarantee that you won't need to print your checks using MICR toner.

Q. What type of Check Paper can I use with Check Studio?
|
A. Check Studio supports nearly all types of check paper. Whether it is in portrait or landscape orientation. As long as there is only one "column" of checks, Check Studio supports it.

Q. Does Check Studio come in multiple versions that have different features?
|
A. No and yes. We offer a personal version that is meant for managing your personal finances and printing personal checks. We will also be adding business versions of the application in the future. However, there is only one edition of our personal version and it contains all the personal use features. Many of our competitors offer several editions of their "personal edition" software, we give you everything in a single edition.

Q. Do I have to buy the check paper you sell?

A. No. We only offer check paper as a courtesy to our customers so they don't have to buy Check Studio from us and then go make a separate purchase at another website just to get Check Paper.

Q. How many accounts can I set up in Check Studio?
|
A. As many as you want! Check Studio supports unlimited accounts, banks, account holders and check designs.

Q. Can I print a signature on my checks?
|
A. Yes. Check Studio allows you to print signatures as well as other images on your checks.

Q. Does Check Studio work with Microsoft Money and Quicken?

A. Not yet. We are adding support for this now and it will be ready in the coming months.

Q. Can I print reports with Check Studio?
|
A. Yes. Check Studio allows you to print several types of reports. You can also export your reports to PDF or Excel.

Q. Does Check Studio have an Auto-Update feature?
|
A. Yes. Check Studio regularly checks for program updates. These updates are free between major versions (ex. v2.0 up to but not including v3.0 would be free for Check Studio v2.0 owners) and are downloaded automatically and installed when you choose to install them.
